The drive that got you here - the high standards, the refusal to half-ass anything, the discipline that makes you excellent at the work is the same drive that quietly runs you into the ground.
Somewhere along the way, you also got handed a leadership role with zero training. You've trained in lab work, analytics, diagnosing... but now you're managing people, navigating politics, and still trying to get your own work done. Unlike the technical problems you solve for a living, this one doesn't come with a protocol. So, you improvise and work harder.
This is the trap we can easily fall into. You tell yourself, it'll get easier once this part is over. Grad school. The postdoc. The "temporary" contract now in year four. Or maybe it's not a milestone, it's a season - tax season, grant season, the sprint before the conference. You white knuckle through and promise yourself, you'll rest after you finish just one last thing....
Then you finally get on the one-week vacation only to come back feeling like you need a vacation from your vacation. Sound familiar?
Here's the truth, the good and the bad in the same sentence: it's not going to get easier until you change.
It's not the workload, or the funding cycle, or the team.
It's your habits, your self-talk, and your ability to sit in the discomfort of new behaviours and expansion.
This is not a willpower problem or a character flaw.
It's a skills gap, and fortunately - skills can be learned.
We talk about what's going on (you can vent...it's ok), what you want, and whether we're a fit.
We design a coaching program around your goals. No templates, no generic worksheets.
Now it gets good - you've got clarity, confidence, energy, and things start to shift in the best way.

I'm a scientist with a PhD in Microbiology and 20+ years of experience working in laboratories across universities, government, and the private sector. I'm also a mom, an ICF-certified coach, and one of many people who hit rock bottom during a pandemic. I felt like I was failing at everything, everywhere, all at once.
I've experienced the burnout, the running-on-fumes, the "I'll rest when I finish just one last thin" math that never actually adds up. I don't recommend it. Genuinely, zero stars. And it took me longer than I'd like to admit to find my way out.
What pulled me through wasn't a productivity hack or a better morning routine, it was doing the honest work of looking inward and learning skills nobody taught me in school.
Working with a coach unlocked something that changed everything: when you learn what you really want and how to show up as the version of you with clarity and confidence, the world around you shifts. Time, energy, and emotional (TEE) management form the interconnected foundation that creates change that feels like magic.
I built Synergy Scientific because I kept meeting brilliant STEM professionals running on fumes, doubting themselves despite every objective sign of success, quietly wishing someone would just tell them the truth: the emotional stuff is the technical stuff at this level. And because I know exactly how far "the end of your rope" can stretch before something gives, I'm here to help people get off the frayed end a lot sooner than I did.
My coaching is evidence-based, practically focused, and built for people who find most personal development content a little too vague and a little too beige.

The deep-dive, all-eyes-on-you version. We work on your specific challenges, your unique brain, and build the exact skills that make leading feel like less friction and more you.

Because sometimes the fastest way to grow is realizing you're not the only one white-knuckling it. Peer coaching in small groups of fellow professionals doing similar work.

Self-paced tools for the person who wants to start now, on their own schedule, without waiting for a program cohort to open up.

I come to your team, conference, or organization and talk with real science and real laughs - about burnout, emotional intelligence, career strategy, and leadership.
